Cleanroom Operative

Location: India Mill, Darwen
Job Type: Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week over a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday
Salary: Starting at £10.80 per hour, based on skills and experience

We are looking for a Cleanroom operative with working experience within a manufacturing environment to manually lay up composite, structural and non structural components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain compliance to all master processes and associated documents, ensuring industry standards are upheld by using batch cards and work instruction sheets.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of consumable singular materials and their use in accordance with specific projects
  • Learn application techniques of bagging and associated materials
  • Manually lay up carbon and glassed fibre pre-impregnated materials into mould tools
  • Adhere to all procedures which include Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (SQCDP)
  • Regularly upkeep records, ensuring batch card disciplines are maintained to uphold industry standards and ensure traceability
  • Communicate frequently with Value stream leader to understand production plans and objectives
The Candidate:

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • MRP/ERP system experience (Epicor, SAP, Sage) (Desirable)
When you are working:
  • 4-day week Monday to Thursday 07:15 am to 5:00 pm totalling 37 hours weekly.
  • Overtime is available from Friday to Sunday at premium rates of pay.
  • Holidays start at 28 days (including bank holidays) (Based on 4- day week)
  • Overtime rates after basic hours are 1.5 of your basic hourly rate Fridays and Saturdays
  • Overtime rates for Sunday are 2.0 of your basic hourly rate
