Brookhouse Aerospace produces a range of composite structures, producing monolithic and sandwich parts from a range of materials, including carbon fiber composite, glass and Aramid cured by autoclave. Kaman also manufactures sheet metal fabrications and machined metal parts, fully supply kits and integrated assemblies. Specialist capabilities include a full range of surface treatments and a dedicated Spares and Repairs capability.

Executive Chairman

Kenny is a highly experienced aerospace executive, MBA educated, who has been with Brookhouse as Chairman since shortly after the acquisition from Kaman (April 2021). Kenny started his career in manufacturing engineering, working in a number of industries including automotive and gas before joining Lucas Aerospace in 1998, where he held various Engineering and Operational Management positions. In 2004, he joined Gardner Group, becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2008. He played a pivotal role in building the group, through a combination of organic and M&A related activities, into a sizeable mid-market industry player with revenues exceeding £180m and 2,500 employees.

Kenny has significant experience leading and developing businesses across the globe including the UK, France, Poland, India and China. He left Gardner in 2018 and has since worked on a number of non-executive and consultancy projects.

Matthew Rossiter

Matt Rossiter

Chief Executive Officer

Matthew is an experienced senior executive with over 7 years in the Aerospace sector. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in April 2023, following a successful 6-month interim placement in the role. Matthew previously held several senior finance positions within the business, that of Chief Financial Officer (February 2021) and Group Finance Director (SVP Finance) of the UK Group, for the previous US Listed parent. Matthew played a pivotal role in the group restructuring, which saw the acquisition of the group by Management, from its previous US Listed Parent in early 2021.

Matthew is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) with wide industry knowledge and experience, obtained through his seven years working in practice. Industry exposure includes manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, retail, renewable energy and education.

Matthew graduated from the University of Manchester with 2:1 (MSc) Honours in Business Management. On completion of his degree he obtained his professional qualification with the ICAEW. In achieving the ACA qualification, Matthew obtained four first prize honours for professional examinations within the North West.

Simon Smith

Business Development Director

Simon is an experienced Business Development professional and brings with him many years of knowledge within the aerospace and manufacturing sector working for SME’s and large aerospace organisations. Simon is time served on the bench and has an extensive experience of manufacturing and engineering processes, which has provided him with a sound footing to progress through various engineering, project and commercial roles within the industry.

Business Development is where Simon is ‘at home’ and his experience spans two decades building relationships, with new and existing customers to successfully secure new business and long-term contracts. He has a passion for aerospace which has driven him to build a network within the industry covering large organisations and OEM’s through to trade associations in which he plays an active role.

Simon is an elected Board member of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance (MAA) and is committed in supporting its members and attending Board meetings, conferences and networking events.
